Graduate school can be incredibly tough for your mental health. Everyday you are facing short- and long-term deadlines, financial strain, job market stress, and have to navigate complex professional relationships with your advisor and colleagues. In fact, PhD students have been shown to be 2.43 times more likely to have mental health conditions, like anxiety and depression, compared to other highly educated people that are not in graduate programs (1).
